Apostolos Papaconstantinou
Apostolos Papaconstantinou is Dr. of Constitutional law and Lawyer in the Council of State and in Areios Pagos. He has taught for a number of years Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Fundamental Rights, Public Policies and Governance, as a Visiting Professor at the University of Piraeus (Department of International and European Studies), as a member of the S.E.P. at the Hellenic Open University, as a Professor in the Master’s Program of Studies “Public Finance and Policy” of the School of Administrative, Economic and Social Sciences of the University of Dyt. Attica as well as a Professor at the Greek Police Officers School. He is providing legal advice to acknowledged domestic and foreign enterprises, business groups as well as public entities and several Local Government Organizations. Being a lawyer since 1992, he specializes in Administrative Law, in Constitutional Law, in European Community Law, in Environmental Law, in Public Procurement Law, in Public-Servant Law and in Social Security Law and he is mainly engaged to legal cases of jurisdiction of the Council of State, the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice of the European Communities. He has undertaken a series of highly important cases in those areas. He has received a legal education in the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and continued his studies in the field of Political Sciences and Public Administration in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and in Panteion University. From 1999 to 2002 he was holding the position of qualified legal counsel in the political office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the office of the General Secretary of Administration and Organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1999). Moreover, he served as Head in the section of Legal Services for the group of companies interests of the businessman D.Kontominas. Founder of the Law Office “Dr. Apostolos Papaconstantinou and ASSOCIATES”, Patriarchou Ioakeim str. 30-32, Kolonaki, Athens, he has also developed a collaboration with the Law Office of the Professor George Papadimitriou. In the years 2023 and 1995 he was awarded by the Academy of Athens with the prize of the Class of Moral and Political Sciences for his writing work. A considerable amount of scientific monografs and articles in scientific magazines bearing his signature were published. Amongst them, we find some of extreme importance : 1.
